World Wide Worx’s publishing arm is responsible for online and e-mail publications that focus on WWW’s core areas of activity. While these publications are supported by advertising and welcome advertisers, they do not depend on advertising for their survival. They are intended as vehicles for discussion, debate and information in the areas of WWW’s concern.
The publications include The Big Change, a weekly newsletter on business and investment strategy in the hi-tech economy, and Gadget, a consumer technology magazine updated every day on the Web. Gadget was South Africa’s first web-only technology magazine when it was launched in February 1998 by Arthur Goldstuck for Media Africa. Goldstuck acquired it back from the Acuity Group in 2001, and World Wide Worx recently commissioned a redesign which will shortly see a new-look Gadget relaunched on the Web.
